Khi tham gia Festival Huế, du khách và người dân Huế được tìm hiểu, thăm thú và trải nghiệm những giá trị độc đáo của 5 di sản đã được UNESCO công nhận: Quần thể Di tích Cố đô Huế (1993), Nhã nhạc Cung đình Huế (2003), nhất là Mộc bản triều Nguyễn (2009), Châu bản triều Nguyễn (2014), Thơ văn trên kiến trúc Cung đình Huế (2016) lâu nay chưa có điều kiện để tôn vinh, giới thiệu rộng rãi.
Liên hoan hát chầu văn toàn quốc cũng sẽ được tổ chức trong khuôn khổ festival. Đây là liên hoan do Bộ Văn hóa, Thể thao và Du lịch phối hợp với UBND tỉnh tổ chức. Tham gia liên hoan có các nghệ nhân, diễn viên đến từ 30 đoàn trong cả nước. Lãnh đạo Sở Văn hóa và Thể thao cho biết, liên hoan được tổ chức nhằm tôn vinh, quảng bá các giá trị nghệ thuật của loại hình hát văn, chầu văn.

Participating Hue Festival, visitors and Hue’s people will learn, visit and experience the unique values of five heritages recognized by UNESCO: The Complex of Hue Monument (1993), Hue Royal Court Music (2003), especially The Nguyen Dynasty woodblocks (2009), The Nguyen Dynasty Royal Record (2014), The royal literature on Hue royal architecture (2016) have long been unable to honor and introduce widely.
The national festival of hat chau van (a traditional folk art of Vietnam which combines trance singing and dancing) will also be held within the Hue Festival. This is an event co-organized by The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Thua Thien Hue People's Committee. The festival has the participation of artists, actors from 30 delegations in the country. The Leaders of the Department of Culture and Sports said that the festival aims to honor and promote the artistic values of hat van, chau van.
