English to Portuguese: Catalysts and Methods for Synthesizing Aliphatic Hydrocarbons from CO and H2
Source text - English
Dried Zeolite Y, taken in amount of 29.1 grams, is saturated with the solution of 18 g cobalt nitrate hexahydrate in 30 milliliters of distilled water (2.05 Molar). The mass/molar ratio of Zeolite Y/Cobalt nitrate hexahydrate at this stage is 0.426 g/mole. The mixture is then dried on a water bath at the temperature of 60 oC for one hour, after which it is placed into a quartz reactor, heated by an electrical oven. A weak flow of air at 200 oC was passed through the reactor for 5 hours. The resultant powder is then removed from the reactor and saturated as before with the same solution of cobalt nitrate hexahydrate. It is then dried on the water bath at 60 oC for an hour. A catalyst of the following weight ratio is obtained: (Co)/(Zeolite Y) = 20/80. Such a catalyst containing Zeolite Y and cobalt is referenced as a “Zeolite Y-Cobalt Catalyst” (example 1 in Table 2 below)

English to Portuguese: METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR THE EXTINCTION OF AN UNDERWATER WELL FOR THE EXTRACTION OF HYDROCARBONS UNDER UNCONTROLLED FLUID DISCHARGE CONDITIONS
General field: Tech/Engineering
Detailed field: Petroleum Eng/Sci
Source text - English
The present invention relates to a method for the extinction or oil well-killing or killing of an underwater well for the extraction of hydrocarbons under uncontrolled fluid discharge conditions, also called blowout, which comprises the phases which consist in assembling (110), in correspondence with the lower end portion (40b) of a string of pipes for the extinction or killing string (40), a constraint group (20) for rigid connection between a plurality of remote-operated underwater vehicles (30) and the killing string (40); detecting (120) the position of a flow of fluids (70) and positioning the killing string (40) substantially in correspondence with said flow (70); lowering (130) a plurality of remote-operated vehicles (30) close to the lower end portion (40b) of the killing string (40); connecting (140) the remote-operated vehicles (30) to the constraint group (20); detecting (150) in real time the relative position of the flow of fluids (70) with respect to the vehicles (30) and calculating the position of the outlet hole of the flow (70); on the basis of the calculated position of the outlet hole, coordinately piloting the vehicles (30) so as to bring the lower end (40a) of the string (40) in correspondence with the position of the outlet hole of the flow (70).

I had an enrichening experience working as a translator in Sonangol-an oil Company in Angola in the years 1984, 1985 and 1986.Besides the oil area, I also used to translate a varietey of works connected with accountancy, law, politics, etc.
I also translated among others, many documentaries about natural life for The Angolan TV and documents and Agreements for Lawyers in Luanda.
Back to Portugal and to my teaching post, I went on translating for Lawyers in Lisbon.I managed to teach in the evening and translate during the day.
I specialized in translating patents connected to oil and Medicine.
I also translated into English the book entitled "Timor, o Maior Campo de Extermínio do Mundo.
Having a long experience in translating, my professional aims have always been correctness and accuracy.
