Bio
I am a native English speaker who has been bilingual/biliterate in the Spanish language for 7 years. I lived for 5 years (2000-2005) in Costa Rica where I learned not only to speak, read and write Spanish but also gained a true understanding and respect for the many different Hispanic cultures. In 2005 I moved back to the United States and began working as the Bilingual Outreach Coordinator for a local school district. In this position I began my experience with translating; mostly class notes, text-book entries, exams, worksheets, and letters home to parents. I also translated the entire high school student handbook. Since then I have worked sporadically translating and interpreting for mental health counselors, doctor's offices, the local court system, social workers, and a human resources office.

I am currently married to a Mexican citizen and live in a town highly populated with Guatemalan immigrants, which has allowed me to become familiar with many different slang terms and varieties of terminology. I speak more Spanish than English lately, and have even begun to dream in Spanish! Please allow me to prove myself by translating your material between the English and Spanish languages.
