I'm a freelance Spanish to English translator with 3 years experience based in Bogota, Colombia. I specialise primarily in business texts. In the past I have translated annual reports, financial statements, company histories, and business emails. I have also translated and edited academic papers for Colombian and European professors that have appeared in European Academic Journals.

I use SDL Trados 2007 but I'm in the process of acquiring SDL Trados 2011, and learning the new features. I have a wide amount of experience in business, translation and language teaching in Australia, Canada, Spain and Colombia and have a wealth of knowledge not only in language but also in culture, which in my opinion, is a very important aspect of translation.

I currently work part-time as an English Language Teacher & Translator at Universidad EAN and as a Teacher of English at the British Council in Bogotá, Colombia. I am currently finishing a Masters in Applied Linguistics.
