Translation - English “I rest upon my body; my body rests upon me, pressing upon me with its weight.”
“The body is far from vacant. It is filled with other bodies, pieces, organs, parts, tissues, joints, rings, tubes, levers and air bags. In the same way, it is also filled with itself: it is literally all that it is.”
“The body is the coming-together of spirits.”
“Nothing is more singular than the sensual, erotic, and emotional release that some bodies stimulate in us (or, conversely, the apathy that other bodies provoke in us)."
“The body is simply a spirit. A spirit, wrinkled, oily or dry, hairy or calloused, rough, flexible, crunchy, funny, flatulent, iridescent, pearly, made-up, dressed in organdy or camouflaged in khaki, multicolored, covered in dirt, sores, warts. It is a soul in the form of an accordion, a trumpet, the body of a viola."
“To say 'my body' is to indicate possession, not ownership. I possess my body, but at the same time my body possesses me. We are a pair of possessed entities, a possessed dance couple.”
“Every body is different, a little deformed. A perfectly formed body is bothersome, out of place in the world of bodies, unacceptable. It is no more than a crafted design; it is not a body at all.”

Bio
I am a freelance artist and translator as well as a Yale alumnus. As a fluent Spanish-speaker, I lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina for nearly three and a half years and traveled throughout Latin America, where I conducted daily business, edited, translated, auditioned, acted, directed, and wrote a film script (for which I also prepared English subtitles) in Spanish. After extensive study at Yale University and study abroad at the Universidad de Buenos Aires, I won the Yale Alfred Bildner Prize for Achievement in Spanish. As a creative writer, I have written scripts, poetry, songs, and essays in both Spanish and English. I have prepared translations for film and theatrical performance, among other projects.
Apart from my artistic experience, I worked as a Banking Legal Assistant in one of the most demanding departments at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, where my responsibilities required fast turnarounds, extreme attention to detail, and proofing skills while reviewing and drafting contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
I have always been fascinated by words, language, and writing and have long been a lover of the Spanish language. I am particularly interested in translation projects that have a creative or arts-oriented aspect to them. Nevertheless, I am open to all sorts of projects.
