English to Dutch: English to Dutch - Sales Contract General field: Law/Patents Detailed field: Law: Contract(s)
Source text - English Preamble
The basis of transaction of this sales contract is an exclusivity agreement extraneous to this contract between the Purchaser and XXX…., which forms the condition for validity of the following contract. In accordance with this agreement the "goods" required by XXX are drawn solely via the Purchaser;
By virtue of increased requirement for productivity, the Purchaser needs machines to speed up production. The sale under retention of title and the transfer for use of these production machines (hereinafter referred to collectively as goods) of the purchase price is the subject-matter of this contract.
§ 1 Object of purchase, export licence
(1) The Vendor sells to the Purchaser production machines of Type XY (hereinafter also "goods") once he has received more precise stipulations of the specification, which is attached to this contract as Annex 1.
(2) The Vendor will make all reasonable efforts to secure any export licence which may be required. The Vendor does not guarantee that an export licence will be granted. However, the Vendor is not aware of any circumstances which would be an obstacle to the granting of an export licence.
The Purchaser is required to secure the import licence, together with any permits, authorisations or other documents required in connection with the import of the goods into the state of use and any transport of the goods across third party states. Any risk of a ban on imports at the time when the contract is concluded shall be borne by the Purchaser.
(3) Any costs, Customs duties or tolls etc. which arise in connection with the export and import of the goods shall be borne by the Purchaser.
Translation - Dutch Preambule
De basis van de transactie van deze koopovereenkomst is een exclusiviteitsovereenkomst die geen deel uitmaakt van dit contract tussen de Koper en XXX ...., die de voorwaarde vormt voor de geldigheid van de volgende overeenkomst. In overeenstemming met deze overeenkomst worden de door XXX gewenste "goederen" uitsluitend afgenomen via de koper;

Bio
Based in the Netherlands, we are a husband and wife team from England and the Netherlands; we have been translating together since 2012.
We specialise in Dutch to English and English to Dutch translations and have spent many years living in both the UK and the Netherlands, gaining a deep understanding of the language and culture of both countries.
We started translating full-time in 2012 and have accrued an unbelieveable amount of experience and knowledge for hundreds of clients and agencies. We have an average LISA rating of 9.0 based on over 1000 jobs and more than 1,00,000 words for various projects.
Our experience ranges from detailed technical descriptions and instructions to eulogies and speeches. We have no problem with EU/government translations, translations for both larges and small comanies, and we have no problem working for private individuals who want personal documents translating from photocopy, or anything els in between.
And as AI becomes ever-present, we are happy to offer both manual translation and machine translation post-editing. We understand the limitations of AI and how to resolve many of the issues that still plague this exciting technology
We are not an agency, we don't have large overheads, and we work for ourselves. This means we are committed to providing you with the best service and quality at the right price.
