Translation - English BRIEFING NOTE TO THE PUBLIC
For the past few months, some media have been circulating a well-motivated rumor in the nation’s capital, citing the failure of ''WORLD DREAM", a program organized and put in place by IMPEX TRADING for the promotion of Cameroon’s destination through major cultural and artistic events. The Cameroonian public is supposed to know the truth about this program, what it is all about and the progress made.
As a reminder, "WORLD DREAM" is a program characterized by tourism and culture with two main goals:
Improvement of tourist facilities in Cameroon (site development and access roads, the quality of infrastructure that will facilitate deployment, fulfillment and security of tourist in Cameroon).
Multiplication of the number of arrivals in Cameroon
To attain its goals, IMPEX TRADING has as mission: searching for partners, attracting national and international investors, seeking the approval and support of the government of Cameroon, which is indispensable at different levels.
After six months of work, the following results have been obtained:
i. Important Memorandums Of Understanding have been concluded and conventions signed with financial partners at the international level in view of the building of a touristic town in Cameroon. This town estimated at six billion euros (6.000.000.000€) will create employment for thousands of Cameroonians directly or otherwise. More to that, one of our partners has committed itself to sponsor the organization of the international concert worth two billion five hundred million CFA francs (CFA 2.500.000.000) which has been announced and being awaited by the Cameroonian public. In the same line, there are many on-going partnership negotiations with national and international partners.
ii. The approval by the Minister of Tourism and Leisure was concretized by a ministerial decree signed by The Minister of State, creating a Follow-up and Facilitation Committee for “WORLD DREAM” program. This committee chaired by the Secretary General from the Department of the same Ministry will work in synergy with the organizing committee of WORLD DREAM.
In spite of real difficulties faced, and being an innovative program, IMPEX TRADING informs its partners, the press, the Cameroonian public that WORLD DREAM is not only far from falling, but has made considerable progress; that IMPEX TRADING is a legally registered company at the Hong Kong market easily traceable under the incorporation number 60254653-000-08-12-A. WORLD DREAM program is led by a youthful and dynamic team who belong to a committed generation ready to re-launch the Cameroonian economy through tourism and culture.
