My Bio :

Hi, I am Melody Liang, a Chinese native speaker.

I obtained the Bachelor Art Degree for English Language and Literature in 1998 .

After finishing my study in the university , I had worked as an English teacher in a Mechanical and Electrical Engineering School for three year since 1998 to 2001. During these three years, I had translated a lot of educational materials or documents about the English language teaching and studying, which had benefited very much for my teaching work and my translation skill.

Since 2001 to 2004, I had worked as an product sourcing assistant for a German international trading company for four years, which was my first exposure to field of business and international trade. I learned a lot about communication with overseas buyers or clients ,including native English speakers and non-native English speaker and accumulated my preliminary experiences in international trade and skills in products or service sourcing .

Then, I had worked as a translator and marketing assistant in the international trading department for an electronic company for over 4 years since 2004-2008. My major responsibilities in this company were as the following:
1. Write English business documents ( our business and company introduction, marketing plan/report, invitation letter) ,English web content, product introduction and advertisement content .
3. Translate contract, agreement and product information from English to Chinese or from Chinese to English.
4. Assistant to the General Manager to negotiate with the foreign clients.
5. Daily communication with the foreign customers through Emails and by other means ( fax, telephone, video meeting, etc).
Briefly speaking, my work coverage in this company was much wider than before, which had expanded my experience in English application and improved my business skills.

In August 2008, I quited my full time job and became a freelancer.
