Bio

Dear Sir/Madam:

I’d like to
recommend myself, a highly experienced and qualified freelance translator
(Chinese Simplified to/from English), to you, a demander for language services
or professional language service provider, regardless of which corner of the
world you are located at.

First of all, I am
proud of my educational experience. At school, my academic performance usually
ranked at top 3 in my class or even grade. In 1993, I was enrolled in Nankai
University (a Top-20 university in China reputed for academic excellence),
majoring in Tourism Economy. Hence, I acquired a good command of English, and learned
German as a second foreign language. Upon graduation in 1997, I was awarded the
Bachelor’s degree in Economics.

Second, I possess 20
years of translation-related professional experience. I have worked in two
professional translation agencies, receiving high comments from both employers
and clients due to superb quality of translation. In my opinion, translation is
an interesting, demanding, and challenging job. A well-qualified Chinese-English
translator must accumulate encyclopedic knowledge, be proficient in Chinese and
English linguistically, have an in-depth understanding of Chinese-Euramerican
cultural differences, and acquire superb translation skills. After due
consideration, I decide to take translation as a lifetime career.

Third, I’m fully confident
in translation-related skills and competencies acquired over a long
professional career. To bid for translation projects of ZTE (a leading global
provider of telecom equipment and network solutions) in 2004, I, on behalf of
Fineword Translation, attended the English exam held by ZTE and attained a very
high score, distinguishing Fineword Translation among the competitors. In 2006,
I was admitted by TAS (Translators Association of Shenzhen). As a responsible and
self-motivated freelancer, I am committed to offering premium-quality
translations to clients, allowing end readers to enjoy an easy and smooth
reading experience.

Last but not
least, I aspire to become a highly sought-after freelance translator in global
arena. Today, the Internet enables people at all corners worldwide to
communicate more easily than ever before. With my painstaking efforts, I want
to be a bridge of effective communication between Chinese and English speakers.

All of the above
makes me an ideal candidate for your reliable translation-related service
provider and even your long-term service partner.

Best regards

Xuesan Ruan
