Russian to English: Bearings General field: Tech/Engineering Detailed field: Engineering: Industrial
Source text - Russian
Translation - English The entirety of a bearing label consists of primary and secondary markings. The main markings determine:
- Inner(Bore) diameter
- Outer Diameter series and Thickness series
- Type of bearing
- Constructional designation of the bearing
Markings of the above characteristics consist of digits, meaning of which is determined by their position within the label. (From left to right)
- First and second (digits) – Bore diameter of the bearing (given that diameter is 10 millimeters or more)
- Third – Diameter Series
- Fourth – Type of bearing
- Fifth and sixth - designation of the bearing
- Seventh – Width Series
The set of the first, second, third and seventh digit, determine the overall dimensions of the bearing.
For bearings with inner diameter of 20 – 495 mm. first and second digits represent a quotient of the rated bore diameter by five.
For bearings with inner diameter under 10mm, first digit to the right indicates the size of inner diameter in millimeters.
Inner diameters of the bearing size 0,6; 1,5; 2,5; mm are marked using a decimal point (comma) Alternatively if the measurement of the bore diameter contains a decimal and is not one of the above sizes, it is rounded to the nearest whole number.
Bearings with atypical outer diameter or width should be marked with a number 7 or 8 for its third digit. Bearings with atypical bore diameter or width should be marked with a number 6 or 7 for its second digit (given that the diameter is less than 10mm).

Bio
Born in Soviet Ukraine, I've been immersed in the culture for 13 years before relocating to the United States. My father, a director of a music school, was a Russian speaking man from Belarus and my mother, who was an accountant at the time, spoke in a language native to the land. In 2001, upon arrival to The States, we have integrated within a Russian community in Utica, NY ultimately reinforcing my linguistic abilities with an added layer of colloquial vernacular.
Since then, I have attended a middle school, high school and college, graduating with a Business degree in 2008. Now at 26 years of age and a business owner, my experience is as diverse as the language set itself and as solid as any native speaker can claim. I believe to possess a unique skill set of effortlessly speaking and thinking in both the target and the source languages. I also enjoy writing and have always assisted others in such endeavors.
Being a bit of a perfectionist, I upkeep my knowledge through the listening of complex socio political discussions on current issues, giving me the edge in understanding of the ever changing power dynamics.
Throughout my teenage years, I have been fascinated with technology, prompting me to become the local go-to tech when issues with computers arose. Gradually I have built on this knowledge to serve the community of Winston-Salem and High-Point NC through the repair of smartphones and computers alike with issues ranging from simple software problems to intricate hardware replacement. Having an experience of working with technology for over 10 years has lead me to team up with the largest smartphone repair company in the United States named iCracked and maintain 9.96/10 customer satisfaction rating over the past 3 years. All of this knowledge translates into specialized abilities of software localization with an added benefit of management through experience and education.
