Bio
Coming from a localization background, with more than 10 years’ experience as translator from English and French to Italian, my solid computer and writing skills lead me to engage in a wide range of professional collaborations outside of my native country, and enjoy the enriching benefits of multicultural work environments. The network of connections which I managed to build throughout these years, and the development opportunities that my permanent roles granted me so far, helped me grow solid capacities in web-marketing and content-development related roles, so I pursued a career in the Digital Marketing and Web Development business.
I am currently employed as Project Manager for an IT and Online Security multinational company based in Ireland – Trend Micro, for which I manage the whole Localization and Web Marketing workflows, budgets, and resources for all EMEA countries. In my current position, I am accountable for the project management of a team of 7 people, plus 10 external collaborators, and I daily liaise with the Marketing Leaders from 30 countries throughout Europe, Africa, and Middle East, delivering web projects for 15 websites, in 13 languages.
Before joining Trend Micro, I was employed as Italian Translator/Content Developer for Amazon, global leader in e-commerce and Digital Services. In Amazon, I worked for the Customer Service division, based in Cork, Ireland, where I gained a solid experience in Web Localization, Project Management and Content Strategies applied to linguistic and localization projects. This precious opportunity allowed me to strengthen my managerial and leadership skills focused on delivering engaging content at the highest quality standards, while growing a customer-oriented approach in my daily work.
Furthermore, I keep on working as Freelance Translator for multiple agencies and clients, among which a video games localization company based in Poland, t-57 (Team 57). For them I translated and tested a number of iOS games from English to Italian.
I have strong organizational skills, solid IT knowledge, with a particular focus on CAT Tools and Trisoft CMS, HTML, XML, and Scrum, and can fluently speak and write 3 languages, Italian, English and French. I also have a good knowledge of Spanish. I am confident and familiar with aggressive deadlines and strongly comply with team-work and problem-solving strategies.
As per my education and personal interests, I have a MA degree in Art and Culture Management, and I am a huge fan of console and computer games, especially adventure games, which I have been playing since I was a little girl.
I have a wide range of hobbies, passions, and interests, among which the strongest are: music, especially rock, electronic, blues, and soul, literature and poetry, art, dogs, wine & food, and travelling around this crazy, wonderful world!
