I am a skilled linguistic with key experience in translating and interpreting. In
addition to Arabic language, my mother tongue as a Syrian, I am fluent in English and
French languages and I have intermediate level in German and Italian languages.
My background spans more than 25 years working with languages. I started by
teaching Arabic language at the French school of Kaduna (Nigeria) to primary school
students with Arabic background, and then at the English International School of
Kaduna, where I taught Arabic as a foreign language.
From 2007 to 2018, I worked for the French publishing house Prosveta, translating
books from French to Arabic language.
Gradually as I gained more experience in translating different genres from both
English or French to Arabic. In 2015, I worked as an interpreter between the three
languages (consecutively) as the surge of refugees in Istanbul required the need for
interpreters. I continued working as translator and interpreter after I arrived in Berlin
in 2017.
Currently, I am reading for my Masters in Translation in English and Arabic. Through
this course I have deepened my knowledge in translation in various fields and specific
report style writing such as technical, medical, scientific, commercial, tourism, news
and business.
