Bio
Dear prospective customer.
My name is David Plaza Garcia. I’m a trained translator specialised on the fields of sworn and economic translations and making his way in the world of editorial translation. I specialise as well in topics related with Asia, specifically those related with China and Taiwan.
In the field of sworn translation I have two-year experience as a freelance translator, translating students transcript of records, lease contracts, and syllabus from diverse university courses.
My passion for learning led me to keep on with my education and decided to focus on Asia to improve my Chinese language skills and to provide me with some background about the Chinese world. What started as just a way to improve my linguistic skills has become my "raison d'être", right now, after finishing my master degree on Chinese Studies, I specialise on Sinophone literature and specifically on Taiwanese literature. Thanks to this I was awarded the second prize on the Chinese-Spanish Literary Translation Contest held by the Confucius Institute of the University of Granada.
Now I combine both my job as a more technical and sworn translator with my passion for literature.
I offer a professional translation service, always meeting deadlines and giving the best of me in every translation job I accept. I'm not afraid to ask if there's something I don't understand in a document and for me keeping a constant feedback with my customers is clue.
In case you have any question feel free to contact me.
Greetings,
David Plaza Garcia.
