Born in Turin, Italy, my professional life has been as varied as my
studies and early life experiences. My education has been three-tier based: scientific "official”
high school, arts & literature “parallel” studies, plus language studies during frequent travels and stays in various European countries since very early childhood where both English
and French became my “other” native languages. I became also fluent in
German and Spanish. I thereafter got a degree in Business Economics and started a career in a primary international consultancy firm as business consultant and auditor, travelling and
frequently working in most Western countries in Europe and in North America. Since reading (in English, French and Italian mainly) and writing have
been my all-time favourite pastimes, while working I published four poetry multi-language
books (with my own translations) and did other translations in various fields in
my spare time. After a number of years I abandoned my previous career to pursue a passion and I started a small
commercial business in traditional ethnic jewellery and artifacts with a
partner. During this period of time I travelled back and forth from South
Eastern Asia with prolonged stays in various countries. Meanwhile I went on translating
(and liaison interpreting) as a side job. After closing that business and after turning 50, I decided to go back
to my two personal and professional origins working now both as a
translator, and as a free-lance management consultant in the organization
and finance departments for small companies.
I very much enjoy this decision which feels now tailored to my
personality and experience. |
