Source text - Spanish Brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) are technological
devices based on the acquisition of brain signals and their
processing and classification, with the purpose of providing the
user with control over external devices or applications. BCIs are an attractive option to improve the quality of life of people with
severe motor impairments, since they allow them to communicate
and to send commands to other devices by using their EEG signals.
For this project, a small, low cost circuit was designed for the
acquisition of EEG signals, and it was implemented in a BCI that
allowes the user to control an on-screen keyboard using SSVEPs.
Translation - English Las interfaces cerebro-computadora (BCIs por sus siglas en inglés: Brain-Computer interface) son dispositivos tecnológicos basados en la adquisición, procesamiento y clasificación de señales cerebrales, con el objetivo de permitir al usuario controlar dispositivos externos o aplicaciones. Los BCIs son una opción atractiva para mejorar la calidad de vida de personas con impedimentos motores severos, ya que les permiten comunicarse y enviar comandos a otros dispositivos utilizando sus señales de EEG. Para este proyecto, se diseñó un pequeño circuito de bajo costo para la adquisición de señales de EEG, y fue implementado en un BCI que le permite al usuario controlar un teclado en pantalla utilizando SSVEPs.

Bio
I am a graduated Electronics Engineer living in the mid-sized coastal city of Mar del Plata, in Argentina. I have been constantly improving my English since I was about six years old, with after-school English courses and self study. I have taken and passed several international ESL exams, including Cambridge's Certificate of Proficiency in English test. Thanks to this hard work and my constant use of the language, I have reached a level of fluency in which I can comfortably and effortlessly translate most types of texts back and forth between English and Spanish.
Though I work full-time as an engineer for PepsiCo, I have been working as a freelance editor for an editing company (CACTUS Communications). My level of English in relation to the technical and scientific world is such that I can work as a proofreader and editor for scientific articles that are sent for publication in scientific magazines such as the various IEEE Letters. I specialize in the fields of electronics, programming, and computer science, though I am not restricted to these areas for technical translations.
I am also an avid reader of science fiction and fantasy, my favorite English-speaking authors being H. P. Lovecraft, Douglas Adams, and Isaac Asimov. Additionally, I have been self-studying Japanese since 2015, which is a language that has always fascinated me.
I am looking to work from home while putting my Spanish and English knowledge to good use.
