Hello! I'm Barbara and languages have always been my greatest passion since I was very little. Apart from German and English, the languages I mainly work with, I actually studied French and Spanish for many years as well and I'm looking forward to learning another one!
I chose to work as a translator because I like challenging tasks and every text is a sort of challenge, like a puzzle which needs to be solved. Every time you learn something new.
In order to become a professional, I earned a bachelor's degree in Translation and Interpreting in Italy and then a Master's Degree in Technical Translation at an excellent German university. I lived three years in Germany, an extraordinary experience which helped me get a deep insight into the German culture, as well as many others I got in touch with.
I have also been working as a fansubber for some years. Although this is "just" a hobby, it makes you grow as a translator because of strict deadlines.
Languages are my life, both at work and in my spare time.
