About me:

I am Petra Bloem a native speaker of German and specialized in translating English and Dutch to German. Vertaalstudio Bloem is settled in the Netherlands, I founded my own Translation Studio a few years after moving from Austria to the Netherlands. I have studied the languages English, Dutch, and German, got a degree, and started working as a translator in 2015. Since 2020 I am a member of de Dutch VZV.

One of my clients said, “Petra, your translation is better than my text!”, this is when I started writing the German blogs for the website or some of the personal letters to the clients, so no translation, but text writing. Another client is happy about my SEO translation, which is generating a lot of traffic to his German webshop. 

What is important to me?

Happy clients! My passion for languages and the ability to connect people and cultures by a good translation. This is why I constantly keep exploring the languages, especially when it comes to more difficult terminology. Furthermore, I do not only deliver high standard translations, but I also take a good look at the tone of voice, at the audience, to which the text is addressed to and at the local expressions used.
