Translation - English La Moelu lived with his dad who was not able to work anymore. His occupation was fishing in the river. One day, he got a small rare fish. His dad told him to keep the fish. Then he put the fish into a glass. The next day, La Moelu was surprised because the fish had already as big as the glass. His dad told him to move the fish to the huge jar. But, the fish had become as big as the jar.
Immediately, La Moelu put the fish into the bigger container. But in the next day, the place where La Moelu put the fish did not fit the fish anymore.
“I think it is better if we put the fish into the sea” Said his father. “Okay, dad” Answered La Moelu sadly.
La Moelu named the fish Jinnade Teremombonga. He instructed to the fish to come to the seashore if La Moelu called the fish’s name, so La Moelu could feed him. Every day, La Moelu fed Jinnade.
One morning, three neighbors of La Moelu called Jinnade. Hearing someone calling him, Jinnade appeared soon. But, Jinnade was speared by the three neighbors of La Moelu until he died, then he was cooked. After that, they told La Moelu about what had happened. La Moelu was really sad. He picked up Jinnade’s bone and buried Jinnade in the yard of his house.
A gold trunk tree, with silver leaves, the flowers was a diamond, and having shiner fruits, grew up in the Jinnade’s grave. Then, La Moelu sold the branches, fruits, leaves, and flowers of the tree. Although he was rich, he was not arrogant. He was still kind and loved to help his neighbors. La Moelu still loved his dad as well.
