Bio
Hello, my name is Adriana.
First and foremost, I love languages. Ever since I was a little kid, languages and literatures have been my passion. I have always been fascinated by finding out new words, about different ways to express myself, about exploring new cultures and embrace them.
This passion carried me through my education in Languages, Literatures and Translation. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Languages & Literature (English and Spanish) and a Master's Degree in Modern Languages and Translation (English and Spanish).
In order to improve my languages skill, I decided to live abroad for some time. I obtained 3 Erasmus scholarships, which allowed me to study and work in Spain for more than a year. I am currently living in London (this is my third year in the UK) and working in the Hospitality Industry.
In 2019 I have seen my translated poems (from Spanish to Italian) published in an Anthology called "Ho deciso che non morirò mai più", an anthology of poems written by Gloria Fuertes, a Spanish poetess. The anthology is published by Palermo University Press.
Translating is for me a challenge, however, at the same time, I can't think about something else that makes me more satisfied and happy. I would like improve my productivity as a freelance translator and start to dedicate more time and efforts to it from now on.
