Hello,
I am a Freelance English – Chinese translator. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Communication and two Master degrees (Master of Art and Master of Philosophy) in Anthropology.
I’ve worked as an international news journalist and editor in the oldest Chinese language newspaper in Hong Kong for more than 5 years and had my own column. I worked as a freelance writer and translator after I left the newspaper and Hong Kong. While living in Norway, working as a project manager within international e-commerce, I have translated documents and marketing materials on a daily basis.
I also co-translated the social science academic book The Nanjing Massacre and the Making of Mediated Trauma, which was published by Routledge in 2021.
During my many years as a translator and writer, my roles were to:
Translation
Translate and edit news articles covering a wide range of topics from politics, financial news to scientific discoveries.
Translate and edit training materials for corporate employees.
Translate and edit marketing materials, product information, invoices, and other administrative support materials.
Revision and Proofreading
As a senior editor, I revised and proofread the translation works from junior editors, using a suitable level of intervention, to ensure the accuracy, quality, and consistency of the work.
