Source text - English Their leader thanks you and then asks you to wait as he disappears into one of the huts. The slowly setting sun paints the shabby, wooden walls in a glowing light. You wait for an uncomfortable amount of time as the other two just stand there and stare at you. When their leader finally emerges again, he's holding a talisman in his hands. It's shaped like a wolf. He tells you it will bring good luck.
A cool breeze rushes through your hair and the joints of your gilded armor as you're walking through a peaceful forest made of trees you cannot readily identify. You spend precious time trying to navigate the labyrinthine spaces between the trees. It is a vast old-growth forest where the trees have grown thick and strong, their canopies reaching towards the sky, leaving only shafts of sunlight streaming between the branches, lightening up the path ahead of you.
Soon you arrive at a clearing decorated with roots, blooming wildflowers and fallen leaves that crunch beneath your feet. It seems like a good place for a break. After posting a few sentries, you make camp and relax.

Source text - English Those who did not fight had their possessions taken, their dwellings destroyed, and were usually either enslaved or killed. Indeed, much of China's history thereafter involves wars between one state or another, but it is also true that warfare was perhaps a little less glorified in ancient China than it was in other ancient societies. Military treatises were written but, otherwise, stirring tales of derring-do in battle and martial themes, in general, are all rarer in Chinese mythology, literature and art than in contemporary western cultures, for example.
The Han used it to great effect against “barbarian” tribes to expand their empire, their disciplined crossbow corps even seeing off opposing cavalry units. As with bowmen, crossbowmen were usually stationed at the flanks of infantry units. Artillery versions were developed which could be mounted on a swivel base.
Helmets and armour, on occasion, were decorated with plumes, engravings and paintings of fearsome creatures or beautified with additions in precious metal or ivory.
