My name is Benjamin Outram. After a somewhat nomadic childhood, my family settled in Berlin for most of the '90s. I returned to my native country of the UK for university in the year 2000, and have been here ever since. 

I have always had a passion for languages. After graduating with a Philosophy degree, I started contacting some agencies to see if I could turn this passion into a career. I have now been a professional full-time translator of German to English for over a decade.

I consider myself a general translator, but medical translations and financial reports are two areas I have been specialising in recently. I love the research side of this job, and getting into the nitty-gritty of a text.
