I began working in the translation
industry in 2008 as a full-time in-house translator and proofreader for a Group
of agencies. My job involved quality assurance, research and glossary
management for clients in a wide range of fields. The experience I gained
working with many excellent translators was invaluable.
I passed the IoL Diploma in Translation (specialised in business and social science)
in 2011 and have been working as a full-time freelance translator
since January 2013. The majority of my translation work is currently in the
following fields: corporate communication (websites, web content, press
releases, presentations, reports); tourism (magazines, hotel websites, SEO);
social science (academic papers).
I aim to build long-term relationships
with my clients, in order to learn about their business and produce effective translations.
My main interests outside of translation are music, field recording and
ornithology. I passed a Diplôme d'Études Musicales in Electroacoustic
