Sworn (Certified) Translator-Interpreter English-Spanish-English appointed by exam held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain in 2004; BA + MA in Law by Universidad de Murcia. Also, external Lawyer-Linguist of the European Central Bank since July 2009.

Thanks to my training in Law and extensive experience as a translator I am an expert in legal translation, editing and proofreading, so professional results are guaranteed in all legal fields. My legal expertise is also one of the reasons why the ECB appointed me as an external Lawyer-Linguist for the period 2009-2013, having worked in-house at the ECB in Frankfurt for a total of over 1 year; also, I have translated a total 200,000 words of different legal texts for the ECB in remote assignments.

I am a licensed, proficient user of Trados Studio 2009.

Among my clients I would like to mention also the OECD, the WIPO, the European Commission's platform CORDIS, and the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU); Deutsche Bank, Lloyds Bank, La Caixa, Garrigues Abogados y Asesores Tributarios, Navantia, and many translation agencies and law offices all over Europe. I quite often translate large documents also for the Foundation of Biomedical Research of La Paz University Hospital (FIBHULP) (Madrid, Spain).

I am the author of the translation into Spanish of William H. Hutt's book 'The Strike Threat system', published in Spain in July 2016 by Unión Editorial under the title 'La amenaza de huelga'.

I was the head teacher of the 'Legal English' course (Jan.-Mar. 2008) at the Cartagena Official Language School; among the students who attended the course there were not only Translation or Law students but also several Judges, Court Registrars and solicitors.

I successfully completed the 2001-2002 Masters in Journalism and Audiovisual Communication by Universidad de Murcia.

Soy Traductor-Intérprete Jurado de inglés, Licenciado en Derecho por la Universidad de Murcia y Jurista-Lingüista externo del Banco Central Europeo. Mi título de TIJ de inglés lo obtuve mediante examen del Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores de España en la convocatoria de 2004.

Mi campo de especialización es la traducción, revisión y corrección de traducciones jurídicas en todas las áreas del Derecho. En el último año, así como en lo restante del período 2009-2013, he colaborado como freelance para el Banco Central Europeo (jurista-lingüista) mediante contrato, habiendo trabajado hasta enero de 2013 durante más de un año en la sede del BCE en Fráncfort y habiendo traducido actos jurídicos por un total de más de 200.000 palabras en trabajos remotos.

Soy usuario avanzado y titular de licencia de SDL Trados 2009.

Soy traductor habitual, asimismo, de la Fundación para la Investigación Biomédica del Hospital La Paz, de Madrid (FIBHULP).

Impartí durante el primer trimestre de 2008 el curso monográfico "Inglés Jurídico", de 30 horas, en la EOI de Cartagena, en el que conté como alumnos con varios jueces, secretarios judiciales, abogados, procuradores, así como a traductores profesionales y estudiantes de Traducción y Derecho.

Realicé, por último, el Master en Periodismo y Comunicación Audiovisual de la Universidad de Murcia en el curso 2001-2002.
