Please, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Laura. I completed my degree in Translation and Interpretation granted by the University of Salamanca, and also a master’s degree in Audiovisual Translation granted by the University of Barcelona. I also have a MA ons Secondary Education, Bacherlor, Professional training and language teaching (UB Barcelona) and a Course of Actors for Dubbing.

Five years of university, supplemented by three years as a freelance translator and as an English teacher, have equipped me to handle the general demands of translation work.

Translation is not based on translating a word for another, but to communicate and transmit ideas to other languages. It is a complex, laborious and demanding process. It requires the translator a constant, active and prudent work, to get a work of high quality. And first and foremost, I give great importance to the quality of the work.

I am specialized in different translation areas: audiovisual, tourist, literary, advertising, legal economic and technical. My mother tongues are Spanish and Galician and I translate from English, Portuguese and German into Spanish/Galician, as well as from Spanish/Galician into English.
