Is there en equivalent in (US) English for 'Ponto Eletrônico', of the kind which can read fingerprints?

If yes, what's the usage? "bater..."???

LSS (Live Scan System)

César, AFAIK, se o tal sistema de "ponto" ou "controle de admissão" usa a leitura de impressões digitais, deve estar incluído na categoria de "Live Scan Finger Print System (Sistema para Leitura de Impressão Digital Ao Vivo", chamado de LSS.

E o verbo acho que só pode ser "to check"
Seria algo como:

"I've got checked off by a LSS scan when I came to the office."

or:
"I had to check off myself at a LSS scan when I came into the office"

Bem, dá para ver que versão não é minha praia, é apenas uma sugestão. Mas o sistema de leitura de impressões digitais é mesmo LSS.
