§ 15 Quality Assurance

1. PPP makes available to the client fine grinding processes. The promises made to the client depend on the type of order and they are classified in accordance with the feasibility, security and profitableness of the process.

2. The process determines the prerequisites of the grinding wheel. The latter is defined jointly by PPP and MMM. The specifications of the wheel affect the process of grinding on rough surface, the cutting pattern, removal and wear and tear.

3. The process factors that influence the result independently of the specification of the grinding wheels are the variations in pressure/velocity, the characteristics of the piece under processing and of the coolant, the conditioning and dressing processes, **the unit surface/tool ratio**, the clearances, the machine and the cooling/filtering groups.

4. In cases where there are problems with process quality a detailed joint investigation of the source of this problem must take place. If there are no variations in the process conditions, according to the provisions of article 15, paragraph 3 hereof, the complaints due to deviations in the cutting characteristics, material removal and wear and tear can, only with the prior agreement of PPP and MMM, may this be ascribed to the wheel quality. In such cases MMM will replace the wheels without charge, including for shipment thereof.

Explanation:
ich denke, dass mit "ratio" die geschwindigkeit (dreh~) des schleifkörpers/der schleifscheibe gemeint ist, also des werkzeugs; wahrscheinlich wird die zu wählende geschwindigkeit auch von der beschaffenheit der werkstückoberfläche abhängen... hoffe, das hilft weiter!
