Clearly, 'test de provocation' is fairly widespread on the Net. 'biological challenge' can mean 2 different things --- either the act of challenging itself, or the substance used to provoke the challenge; here, because the context says "the preparation of a consistent, reproducible biological challenge", I am taking this to mean the actual substance itself. Now it seems clear that 'test de provocation' works OK for 'challenge test', and although I haven't been able to find Net confirmation of this (I'm on an expensive dial-up connection here!), it seems pluaisble to me that this could be described as an '(agent de) provocation', and I see no reason why the 'biologique' can't just be tagged on, as in English.
