I understand that 'durational' is an adjective formed from the noun duration, but I don't understand if it means 'lasting' or 'continuous'.
The context I've found it in is this:
As a vital member of the generation of pioneering performance artists that includes Bruce Nauman, Vito Acconci, and Chris Burden, Abramovic created some of the most historic early performance pieces and is the only one still making important durational works.
Are these works lasting in time ("durature"?) or is this perhaps a special term connected with performance art?

che durano nel tempo
Secondo me, duational significa che durano nel tempo che non svaniscono con il passare delle mode.
