The present invention is substantially different for all current technologies as it is specifically designed to take advantage of the unique conditions present in a high pressure nozzle and the resulting high velocity **free jet** which cause water to behave for very short periods of time as a non-Newtonian fluid.

(1). If the jet is fully submerged under the water, it is called submerged jet. In this case, it is not a surface jet, and there is no free surface effect. (2). The jet is confined, if there are walls nearby. This will limit the motion of the fluid. The jet without any walls nearby to limit its motion is called "free jet". Normally, a jet is a free jet. A confined jet can create complex flow recirculation. (3). If there is a wall in front of the jet, it is called impinging jet, because the jet will hit the wall. This is normally done on purpose, for example to heat, or cool the wall.

Alucrom has a very large number of equipment with all necessary sorts needed for surface treatment
of steel structure booth in paint shops and on site.
All our paint shops have separated in-built halls for painting and grit blasting all with full heating,ventilation and lightning. This we see as a must to be able to obtain the best possible conditions to achieve a good quality, satisfactory working conditions and external environment conditions.
The blasting chambers for grit blasting are built with recycling systems for blasting grit, including dust separation. This layout makes us able to work in a rational way with steel grit as abrasive.It also reduces the total quantity of waste when the material is recycled up to 20 times. Of course there are made regular analyses of the content of grease/oil and also the fractions of the material are sized up.

Hydroblasting will not produce a surface profile. The surface profile exposed after hydroblasting is a product of earlier surface preparation work, or corrosion. ***The advantages of hydroblasting are that there is no ignition during the blasting process and that the surface will be free from grease and chlorides/salts, which will give the coating system a longer lifetime.*** The method is also environmentally friendly, as the disposal of spent abrasives is eliminated. Alucrom will assist customers in specifying the right surface preparation and the correct coating system for hydroblasted surfaces.
