Context: The company has created a jobgrade structure, ranking the positions in the target group in terms of knowledge, complexity of decision taking and size of responsibilities. The company may decide to pay an employee in a higher or lower scale than the jobgrade, in which case the personal grade differs from the job grade e.g. in case the jobholder substitutes for a certain period of time a jobholder at a higher level).
