In Europa werden in den meisten Ländern Schukostecker und ähnliche Stecker (Abweichung Schweiz, Italien, England) mit Spannungen von 230 V einphasig (und 400 V Drehstrom) verwendet.
In den USA gibt es in Haushaltungen hauptsächlich 120-Volt-Systeme mit Steckern, deren Stifte nicht rund, sondern flach sind.
Der Satz ist also sinnvoll für die USA, nicht aber für Deutschland. Das hindert aber nicht, ihn zu übersetzen, und zwar wie folgt:
Verwenden Sie bei 120-Volt-Anwendungen nur UL-gelistete, abnehmbare Anschlußleitungen mit Steckern nach NEMA vom Typ 5-15P (parallele Flachstifte)
