German term
exspektative Pulpadiagnostik
German to English
Medical
Local Anaesthetics in Dentistry
"Mit Hilfe der „exspektativen Pulpadiagnostik" versucht man eine weitgehende diagnostische Sicherheit zu erzielen."
Talking about the use of local anaesthetics to treat pulpitis.
According to Dicdata, the word "exspektative" means "expectant". But according to the search engines, there is no such thing as "expectant diagnosis". So, does anyone know what "exspektative" might mean here? It's really this word far more than "Pulpdiagnostik" that is troubling me. TIA for your help.

Comment: "I'm not convinced about this beyond all doubt, hence the 3 rather than 4, but it's an improvement on "expectant diagnosis", and makes reasonable sense, so I'll run with it. Thank you for your kind assistance."
