complementary colours
colours opposite each other on the colour wheel. i think these may be the same as the "couleurs d'association". Check the refs below.

I see that \"couleur d\'accompagnement\" was translated at an earlier date as complementary colour, which you selected. I think it should have been translated as \"accompanying colour\" as in the small dictionary reference below:

is often used, or color blender, it would depend on the context.
color matcher is good but it would seem to me that it deals with colors already in existence, that is finding colors, like a hot red from a document and "matching" it with an available color from another printer, but not necessarily taking say a hot red and a hot yellow and blending them...
Type "color management" in your browser window, as well as "color matching," and "color blending," and see for your self which is most suited to your needs.
