Ich nehme an, "renewal" bedeutet hier, dass ein Gerät neu gekauft wird, wenn das alte den Geist aufgegeben hat. Kennt jemand einen Fachbegriff dazu?

disagree  Anne-Katrin Grube: nein - Ersatzgeschäft in terms of substitute business has absolutely nothing to do with renewal markets!

agree  Werner Walther: Das ist richtig - aber (Ersatzgeschäft bei den Reifen - Folgegeschäft für den Autohändler), aber es mag noch bessere Formulierungen dazu geben. PS.: Komplettersatz nach 4, 8 oder 12 Jahren ist nicht Aftersales - das ist Neugeschäft, nur nicht Erstkauf.

  -> von Ersatzteilen war ja nicht die Rede. Und angestoßen werden die Sales ja vom After-Sales-Service // Richtig, der Kundendienst legt dann das neuere Modell nahe und schon ist ein "renewal deal" draus geworden.

disagree  Werner Walther: Das ist leider hier auch nicht richtig. Der Folgemarkt ist der Ersatz von Verschleißteilen. Auch der Folgemarkt ist heiß umkämpft. Beispiel: wo lässt man Inspektionen und Großreparaturen beim Auto machen: beim Verkäufer oder in einer s.g. freien Werkstatt
