revision
Could this not just be a "revision", the introduction of small changes and improvements?
When new software is first released, it is standard practice to call it version one revision zero like this 1.0. When small changes/improvements are made they come out with version one revision two 1.1 and finally after losts of revisions (e.g. 1.6) they finally come out with version 2.

I think they mean review - to see what was wrong and what needs to be changed

update
Having worked in this area for a long time, this is the word that comes to mind. 'Update' can narrowly mean 'aggiornamento', to update software to the latest release, but it is used more broadly and can mean simply to bring something up to current specs.
Since this is apparently after the "gathering and analysis of evidence" phase, which is what I would more call 'review', I would tend toward 'update' as the actions performed post-review.
