Dutch term or phrase: warmtesluis
Not quite sure of the category for this: is there a special name for the system that some shops and office buildings have in place, where there are two automatic doors and the second door only opens when the first one closes? It is used for keeping heat or cold out.

In Dutch it is called 'luchtsluis' or 'warmtesluis'. The suggested term was 'airlock' but I think you only use that for real airtight connections?

air barrier

Explanation:
Seems to me that airlock is more for things like rocket travel, submarine voyages and safety zones built into highway/motorway tunnels but not for buildings, homes and public places:

http://www.mace.manchester.ac.uk/project/research/structures...

where the escape routes lead into airlocks/heat barriers that can guard from fire for a specific amount of time (until people can be rescued) but not for buildings, homes and public places like when going out to eat (because most restaurants have an air barrier through simple means of two doors = entrance then second door) one would not say: Did you see the poster on the wall when you entered the airlock.

Op wikipedia staat bij" Airlock" onder "Similar mechanisms" het volgende te lezen: In cold climates, two doors arranged in an airlock configuration are common in building entrances. While not airtight, the double doors minimize the loss of heated air from the building. A similar arrangement is common in hot climates, where it is used to keep interior spaces cool. Revolving doors may be used for the same purpose.
