manners of the heart

There is a great article at this website http://www.ballstickbird.com/articles/a18_manners.html

that explains exactly what is meant by manners of the heart, and in my humble opinion it perfectly fits the Slovenian srcna kultura.
Another possibility would be goodheartedness, but I prefer the former.
Example sentence:

Except that too often we let our manners become mere rituals. We forget their real intent. Mary-Lou knows what really matters to other people - because she cares. And because she cares, she tries to figure out what's important to you, what will make you f

heart of gold

Off the top of my head, I'd say

... has a heart of gold
... is a darling (when it comes to matters of the heart)
... knows the language of the heart

"Soul" is good, but may need a modifier. As for "heart of gold", I'd say it's much more than just plain generous - see http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090417164835AA...
Note from asker:
Thanks for your input. The first two suggestions don't work for me ( if I wanted to express that, I'd simply use "affluence of heart"). The third one, however, may so the trick.

culture of heart

Note from asker:
pozdrav [no pun intended]
Hihi Bankruptcy of heart....or heart going belly up. [do not take me seriously]

soul

Back in the States they would call it "soul." Srcna kultura is a corny expression seldom used nowadays, and the same goes for soul. A heart of gold strikes me as someone who is generous and nothing more.

Celo noc sem razmisljal in koncno mi je kapnilo na pament: manners of the heart. Zato lahko zgornji odgovor abstrahirate.
Note from asker:
I disagree that it is a corny expression in Slovenian; it is, however, indeed used very rarely as srcna kultura ceased to exist among men ( and women) of our country, very unfortunately.
