La información que consta en el formulario remitido por el médico forense y en conversación relefónica con el mismo, es la siguiente: mujer de XX años de edad, fallecida el XX de junio de 2013 en un centro hotelero. Posible cause de la muerte: edema agudo de pulmón, cardiaca/tóxicos.

I don't understand what "cardiaca/tóxicos" is referring to here especially as neither seem to relate to the previous nouns. Am I missing something?

* toxin: an antigenic poison or venom of plant or animal origin, esp. one produced by or derived from microorganisms and causing disease when present at low concentration in the body.
* toxicity: the degree to which something is poisonous
It would be what a bomb (toxin) is to an explosion (toxicity). (well, sort of)

agree  Joseph Tein: Hola Enrique. Agree with cardiac ... but would change "toxins" to something like "poison/poisoning". Remember that "intoxicación" en español really means "poisoning".
