This phrase is from the section on requirements for wiring ducts. The immediate context is:
Las canalizaciones de cableado guardarán las distancias prescritas por las normas con el resto de canalizaciones, particularmente cuando se trate de tuberías de agua y CIRCUITOS DE EXTINCION AUTOMATICA.
My instinct says "automatic water sprinkler circuits". But, I've also seen the literal translation in some contexts: "automatic extinction circuits".
As always, a thousand thanks!

fire sprinkler system
Normally, they are referred to as "sprinkler systems" and not so much as "sprinkler circuits". Hope it helps.

Thanks, Maria! |
Yes, "systems" instead of "circuits". I should have caught that myself... |

Comment: "Yes, "sprinklers" works here."

fire suppression system
This is a more up-to-date term.
In the USA Fire Suppression systems are governed by the codes under the NFPA. Fire Suppression Systems are commonly used on heavy power equipment. Suppression systems use a combination of dry chemicals and/or wet agents to suppress equipment fires.

For example, "sprinklers" cannot always be used due to electrical risks or risk of damaging building contents (e.g., racks in a server room).

I'd have to agree with Maria Eugenia Perez' comment on your entry. Although, I think that it would be good for the KudoZ open glossary... |

: Indeed, your term is also correct, although in this case "sprinklers" are precisely what the paragraph is referring to,being the electrical risk the very reason to keep critical distances with the electrical conduits (it also mentions water pipelines)

The paragraph just refers to waterpipes in general and pipes for the "fire suppression system", I don't think we can assume there are sprinklers on the end of them (it doesn't mention any).
