German term

Hubmast

German to English Tech/Engineering Mechanics / Mech Engineering

'Mast' appears to be the term used for a lifting mechanism with girders etc., even it it is the lifting mechanism of an overhead crane (which appears to be the subject of your text, judging from 'bewegt dieser mit Wagen...').

For a webside that describes a crane with this type of construction, in which the lifting mechanism is called a Hubmast, see:
http://www.hafoe.de/web/ne0401.html
(look at the enlarged pictures)

For a website that describes this type of mechanism as a mast, see:
http://www.americancrane.com/glossary/STACKER_CRANE.htm
'Stacker crane: An overhead crane having fixed or telescopic vertical mast suspended from its trolley frame. The mast is fitted with a moveable fork assembly capable of raising an lowering.'

lifting pole/mast

agree Ken Cox : 'Mast' is apparently correct (see separate comment).

lifting boom

On most lift equipment the "mast" is stationary, except for turning in a circle, while the "boom" hydraulically reaches out at different angles and extends to move the load.
