I use photo editing tools all the time, and it is bracket in Portuguese as well, but there is a button in some that say bracket/única.

In photography - adjusting the f-stop or the exposure one click above and one click below the recommended setting. This way, 3 pictures are taken with the setting as -1, 0, and +1 value - one of the 3 picture will probably be the best. Same technique used in artillery, hoping that one of the 3 shells will hit the target.
