Depuis fort longtemps, on donnait le soir de \'Hanouka, des pièces d\'argent aux enfants pour marquer la joie de la fête. De nos jours, on leur offre des cadeaux et certaines familles répartissent ces cadeaux sur tous les soirs de la fête.

Explanation:
Je me demande s'il faut traduire "gelt"...
Car si la tradition est (était) de donner de l'argent, le gelt bag (bourse, porte-monnaie, aumonière) est dans le cas US aussi un sac pour les petits cadeaux (friandises traditionnelles de saison incluses). Et je n'ai pas retrouvé ailleurs dans la tradition de "gelt bag" mais pas le temps non plus de chercher davantage, sorry Louise.
