that undergird su cui si fondano Explanation: il verbo "undergird" (tutto attaccato) significa "Make secure uderneath" o, in senso figurato, "strenghten, support" (Concise Oxford Dict.) Quindi si può tradurre con "che sostengono", ma mi pare più oportuno sottolineare l'idea di fondamento. Naturalmente, è possibile scegliere parecchie altre espressioni più o meno equivalenti ("su cui si basano", su cui riposano" o semplicemente "alla base di", ad esempio). Tutto questo, naturalmente, nell'ipotesi che quello spazio sia un errore... |
