Although XY detected no plant antibodies in response to plant produced monoclonal IgG1 (Guy's 13th anitbody) delivered topically in human clinical trials, plant-derived Guy's 13 was subsequebtly shown to have a greater diversity of glycan structures when compared with the mouse-derived antibody. Thus immunogenicity cannot be ruled out in the case of systemic delivery.
