You can change "positive" to "normal" in my answer, it means the same when the result is flexion. If the reflex induces extension then it is abnormal, see below.

Careful, the normal response is flexor.

A plantar reflex cannot be positive or negative - it's either present or absent.

The Babinski sign (abnormal extensor response) can be positive or negative.

Ce réflexe peut être aboli. Son inversion - au lieu de se faire en flexion, se fait en extension - constitue le signe de Babinski.
