Силикоз. Вредное воздействие свободного кремнезема (кристаллического кварца) на организм наблюдают в горной и камнерезной отраслях промышленности, в абразивной индустрии, производстве взрывчатых веществ, на каменоломнях и в сельском хозяйстве. Кратковременные высокоинтенсивные экспозиции (длительностью 10 мес) могут вызывать острый силикоз — быстрый, фатальный легочный фиброз с рентгенологической картиной интенсивной милиарной инфильтрации или уплотнения. Длительные экспозиции меньшей интенсивности ведут к фиброзу верхней доли легкого и гилюсной аденопатии через 15 лет лет после воздействия. Узелковый фиброз ведет к легочной рестрикции и обструкции дыхательных путей. У больных силикозом высок риск развития туберкулеза легких. Больные хроническим силикозом при положительной кожной пробе с туберкулином нуждаются в противотуберкулезном лечении.
