Spanish term

casquillas...columna...brida...portaelectrodas...p

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering
....distribuidor de petaca,caratula de maniobra. CONTEXT: welding machine EXPLANATIONS: the casquillas are for the guides/rollers that the metal moves along (1. ball bearings?). The columna is an upright structure up and down which the upper arm moves (2.column?) The brida holds electrodes in place (3. clamp? flange?). The portaelectrodos (4.electrode-holder?). La sonda esta montada sobre una pletina de cobre (5. deck?). El cilindro neumatico lleva incorporado dos distribuidores de petaca (talla 1/8")(???). The caratula de maniobra does not seem to be a mask - it has a lampara de linea (?), selectores de soldadura y de programación etc and is mounted on the side of a large control box.
All help appreciated.

See below

Casquillo = bushing
Columna = column , pillar
Brida = flange
Portaelectrodos = electrode holder
Pletina = flatbar

((copy of my reply to the first posting of this query))

casquillas = bushings or sleeves, most likely; columna
= column or post; brida = clamp; portaelectrodos =
electrode holder (also acceptable: carrier, chuck, or
socket; the drawing, if you have one, should point you
toward the right choice); pletina = bar, flat (as a noun),
or small plate; caratula de maniobra = control panel (the
additional information makes it clear; apologies for my
earlier suggestion!). -- As for the "distribuidores de
petaca," these are obviously distribution valves or
outlets located on the air cylinder. (A "petaca" is,
among other things, a leather trunk or suitcase; a
cigarette case; or a tobacco pouch; not much help
there. What might help is a brochure or data sheet from
a welding-equipment manufacturer, which you might find
through a web search.) -- Perhaps someone else can
clarify "lampara de linea" ("line lamp" or "track lamp") on
the control panel. -- Wish I could be of more help! -- HC
