Spanish term
San Juan, Laurel
Spanish to English
Tech/Engineering
These are the names of woods using in furniture-making in Honduras. I cannot find them in any of my references, except for "laurel," but in Latin American, names of European plant and animal life are often applied to different species, so I have to make sure.

San Juan
the taxonomic name for San Juan is Vochysia guianensis, apparently. In laypersons terms it is known as San Juan, Kwari, Killu Sisa and Yemeri. I think your best bet would be to leave it as San Juan
I don't know about Laurel, but how about if you left is as Honduran Laurel?
