Características que ofrece el sistema de cámaras de TV de Videovigilancia:
 Permitir la monitorización del tráfico: la visión del tráfico, sirve de apoyo a los operadores para comprobar el estado real del tráfico, bien por observación directa, o bien como medio de verificación de posibles informaciones erróneas de otros sistemas (detección automática de incidentes...).
 Permitir la monitorización de las condiciones meteorológicas: la visión del área sirve de apoyo a los operadores para comprobar las condiciones climatológicas de la zona y su posible influencia en la seguridad de los conductores.
